How to Adjust Corner Errors of an Electronic Weighbridge

If weight deviation is found during the operation of an electronic weighbridge, troubleshoot by checking the following items: Check whether the weighbridge body is placed stably without shaking at the four corners. For framed weighing platforms, a slight allowance of movement shall be available, and the platform can reset automatically. Ensure no surrounding objects are in contact with the weighbridge body. Inspect the signal cables from the four corner load cells to the junction box, and from the junction box to the indicator for damage or breakage. Check if the signal connector plugged into the indicator is damaged or if the soldering joints are detached. If the indicator reading fluctuates with an empty platform or during weighing, check the junction box for water ingress and moisture. Dry it thoroughly with a hair dryer if damp. If the weighbridge is equipped with ramps, check whether the ramps touch the weighing platform. Remove the ramps temporarily and test weighing again. If deviation still exists after the above inspections: Zero the indicator with an empty weighing platform after power-on. Place standard test weights on the first corner and record the reading. Move the weight to the second corner and record the value, then repeat the operation for the third and fourth corners, and finally remove the weights. (An object with a known accurate weight can be used if standard weights are unavailable.) If the displayed weight of any corner differs from the standard weight: Mark the faulty corner first. Locate the junction box along the signal cable connected to the indicator. Open the junction box and find the terminal corresponding to the load cell cable of the deviated corner. A blue potentiometer is next to the terminal. Place the test weight on this corner, then fine-tune the potentiometer sensitivity with a flathead screwdriver: turn clockwise to increase the weight reading, turn counterclockwise to decrease it, until the indicator displays the exact standard weight. Adjust other deviated corners in the same way. After all four corners show consistent readings with the standard weight, perform full-scale recalibration following the standard calibration procedure. If there is no weight deviation at the four corners, directly conduct recalibration according to the standard calibration process. Example A weighbridge has minor weighing errors. When a 50 kg standard weight is placed on each corner respectively, the readings are: Corner 1#: 50.0, Corner 2#: 49.8, Corner 3#: 50.0, Corner 4#: 50.2. Open the junction box and keep the potentiometers of Corner 1# and 3# unchanged. Find the corresponding terminals for the cables of Corner 2# and 4#. Put the 50 kg weight on Corner 2#, fine-tune its potentiometer clockwise until the indicator shows 50.0. Then move the weight to Corner 4#, adjust its potentiometer counterclockwise until the reading is 50.0. Finally, complete the full recalibration process.
